Sales & Marketing Assistant (part-time)

Job Summary

Manage the day-to-day operations of the Sales & Marketing team at a Point of Sale (POS) software development firm, working to support communication with a reseller network of approximately 150 independent companies that resell this POS software to restaurants. Products include Restaurant Manager and Duet.

Reseller Marketing Support

  • Coordinate with Senior Marketing Manager to ensure resellers get appropriate support on websites, list purchases, direct mail/HTML email, online/banner ads, PPL campaigns and print advertising.
  • Keep the tradeshow calendar current and assist active resellers with the logistics of exhibiting or speaking at these events.
  • Help resellers with logistics of restaurant association tradeshows and report results to Business Development Manager.
  • Assist Senior Marketing Manager on application of co-op dollars to marketing-related expenses incurred by resellers.
  • Coordinate with Business Development Manager on profile on winning strategies for reseller newsletter.
  • Assist Senior Marketing Manager with logistics of ASI’s Annual Reseller Conference and help to manage ASI’s relationship with conference sponsors.

Reseller Sales Support

  • Ensure sales leads are appropriately distributed to resellers and that resellers have necessary sales tools for efficient follow-up.
  • Work with ASI Office Manager on maintaining 12 month rolling sales totals for resellers and keeping CRM updated with current sales activities.
  • Pull quarterly sales reports from CRM for ASI’s business partners and accounting department.
  • Coordinate monthly ASI reseller recognition program.
  • Keep Business Development Manager informed on reseller quotas.
  • Work with ASI’s Business Development Manager and Product Manager to create and maintain a calendar of training topics for ASI’s series of webinars. Ensure the topics on this calendar are coordinated with the editorial calendar for user communications.
  • Handle logistics of training programs at ASI HQ as part of onboarding process.

General Administration

  • Run periodic reports to confirm that CRM data on resellers and licensed users remains accurate. Act as ASI’s resident CRM expert.
  • Step in for Senior Office Manager as needed to assist with orders and billing, etc.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team. Good communication skills.
  • Four year degree preferred, but is not necessary.

Technical Support Specialist

Job Summary
Perform assigned tasks related to the day to day activities of the support department. Provide support via phone, e-mail and Intranet as well as assist internal users with any IT needs such as configuring and deploying computers, mobile devices and applications.
Responsibilities include:

  • Setup Cloud Based applications
  • Diagnose and resolve computer problems and requests from users in a timely manner.
  • Accurately record requests into the help desk system
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, network equipment, iOS (Apple) and Android devices.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software packages, including operating systems, desktop software and custom applications

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum associates degree in a technical discipline. Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction. Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Additional Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an Associates degree (preferably a four year University Degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information System Technology
  • Working knowledge of Windows desktop Operating Systems and desktop software including Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity of Desktop and Laptop hardware components
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focus and dedication to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to complete tasks on time
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in restaurant Point of Sale applications and/or working in a restaurant is a plus
