Restaurant Manager to show new iPad POS Technology at NRA

Action Systems, Inc. (ASI), makers of the Restaurant Manager Point-of-Sale System and long-time leaders in mobile POS solutions for restaurants will unveil their latest iPad POS solution, RM Kiosk, at the National Restaurant Association Show later this week.

The RM Kiosk iPad POS app is a customer facing restaurant POS technology developed as a native app for iPad. This self-service solution will allow customers to browse a restaurant’s menu and then place their own order using a sleek iPad interface.

“Allowing customers to place their own orders can reduce payroll costs while increasing average checks,” explains Jay Shavitz, Product Manager at Action Systems, “Less wait staff are needed to handle orders and we know from our experience with online ordering that customers order more when they have the ability to make selections as they browse the menu.

” RM Kiosk is fully integrated with the Restaurant Manager POS system so restaurateurs with self-ordering kiosks can continue to use a familiar, user-friendly interface to manage their operations. This means that menu items, prices, promotions, and modifiers that are programed into the POS can be automatically communicated to the customer.

“We see a lot of potential in customer facing technology integrated with the POS” says ASI CEO Alex Malison. “Self-ordering is everywhere from movie theatres to grocery stores and has great potential for restaurants. This solution is ideal for a quick service environment but could be easily used in bars and nightclubs or brought to tables in full service restaurants.

” The RM Kiosk solution will be available for commercial release in fall 2013 but interested restaurateurs can experience the technology at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago May 18th -21st.
